Terms of Service
Last updated: May 30, 2026
1. Service
Shopbuilder ("we", "us") provides a mobile app builder service that connects to a Shopify store, lets merchants design a native mobile storefront, and produces iOS and Android applications that merchants publish under their own Apple Developer and Google Play accounts. By installing the Shopbuilder Shopify app or otherwise accessing our services, you ("merchant") agree to these terms.
2. Free service
Shopbuilder is currently offered free of charge. We may introduce paid plans in the future; if we do, we will provide reasonable notice and you will not be charged without first opting in to a paid plan through Shopify App Pricing or the Shopify Billing API.
3. Merchant responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- The Apple Developer Program and Google Play Console accounts under which your mobile applications are published, including all fees, credentials, and policy compliance with Apple and Google.
- The content (products, images, copy, branding) you choose to publish to the Shopbuilder mobile channel and to your customer-facing applications.
- Complying with all laws applicable to your business, including consumer protection, advertising, tax, and data protection laws.
4. Data
Our handling of data is described in the Privacy Policy. You retain ownership of your store data, your customer data, and the content of your mobile application. We do not sell merchant or buyer data.
5. Third-party services
Shopbuilder integrates with Shopify, and optionally with services you choose to connect (such as Google Analytics or Meta). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party services' availability, content, or policies.
6. Termination
You may stop using Shopbuilder at any time by uninstalling the Shopify app or by clicking "Disconnect" on the channel admin page. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, the Shopify Partner Program Agreement, or applicable law.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
Shopbuilder is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any mobile application built with Shopbuilder will be accepted by the Apple App Store, Google Play, or any other distribution channel.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Shopbuilder and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.
9. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Shopbuilder dashboard or by email to the merchant contact on file.
